Our Journey: From Argentina to Authentic Delights
In 1968, Anibal Costanso, the founder of Buenos Aires Bakery & Café, embarked on a remarkable journey. Leaving Argentina, he joined Ebinger’s Bakery in Brooklyn, New York, with no English skills and no prior travel experience. Despite the challenges, Anibal's dedication led him to swift promotion and ignited his dream of entrepreneurship. In just four years, driven by unwavering commitment and an aspiration for perfection, he became a business owner.
In 1972, Anibal and his wife Edith unveiled El Molino Argentina in Queens, New York. Alongside their daughters Monika and Gabriella, they established a renowned bakery in the heart of Queens. After a decade of success, they returned to Argentina, only to come back in 1985 to open another venture in Queens.
The family's new endeavor, Buenos Aires Bakery, emerged in Jackson Heights. United once more, they introduced authentic Argentinian cuisine to the United States, expanding their offerings and clientele. After seven prosperous years, Anibal sought a fresh endeavor.
In 1992, he initiated a new store in South Florida, marking a relocation to Western Miami. A growing family and amplified interest led to Buenos Aires Bakery's expansion. This journey continued until 2001.
Exploring South Florida, the family discovered the perfect locale on Miami Beach's 71st Street and Collins Avenue. The transition from Buenos Aires Bakery to Buenos Aires Bakery & Café brought a broader range of products and a redesigned store. From quick-service counters to indoor and outdoor dining, the concept flourished, leading to a second South Florida location in Pembroke Pines.
Since 2001, both Miami Beach and Pembroke Pines locations have evolved to cater to a growing clientele. The company's dedication to quality remains unwavering, crafting cuisine with secret family recipes and Argentinian techniques. Buenos Aires Bakery & Café takes pride in fresh ingredients and ensuring your favorites are available throughout the day.
